Pen Pel was created by Occupational Therapist Hannecke Korkie with a simple but powerful dream: to help learners who experience barriers to reading.

We believe that every learner deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and experience the confidence that comes from being able to access information independently.
Pen Pel was designed to put the power back into the hands of learners, giving them a tool that can support them when reading becomes a barrier to learning.

Because every learner deserves the chance to read, learn and reach their full potential.

Founder

Hannecke Korkie is a qualified and practicing Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping learners overcome barriers to learning.
With her professional experience and a deep understanding of the challenges learners can face, Hannecke created Pen Pel to provide practical support that empowers learners to become more confident and independent in their learning journey.
